Spain is a federal-like system formed by seventeen 'Comunidades Autónomas' (regions) and two autonomous cities: Andalucía, Aragón, Asturias, Islas Baleares, Islas Canarias, Cantabria, Castilla y León, Castilla-La Mancha, Cataluña, Extremadura, Galicia, Madrid, Murcia, Navarra, País Vasco, La Rioja y Comunidad Valenciana are the diferent regions and Ceuta and Melilla (both on the north African coast) are autonomous cities. Most of this regions are subdivided into provinces.
